She is a Mexican American with experience in engineering, organizational leadership, and community interpretation. After moving to the United States 25 years ago, she gained a strong understanding of the needs and strengths of Hispanic families in Anderson County, the City of Oak Ridge, and nearby areas. That experience inspired her to start Together Podemos. Today, she helps families navigate resources, advocates for their needs, and works with partners to make sure every program centers on empowerment, dignity, and well-being.
